The Foremost Prerequisite For Dating

Dating is one of the most trendy topics amongst youths and adolescents of the 21st century. I did a mini-survey using my friends both those whom I interact with physically and those whom our interaction is on social media and I came up with the following conclusions;

About 70% of youths and adolescents are either dating or have dated before.

25% are seriously considering dating and are just held back by a lack of opportunity and fear.

The remaining 5% are either not interested or are less concerned about dating.

Mind you, these statistics are exclusive to me, myself and I. I just ran a random research which proved to me that the topic dating is a trending one amongst youths today.

Well, like every other issue of life, without a proper, good and concise knowledge of what dating should be about, we would be dating wrongly and amiss leading to serious pains and regrets.

Many youths dabble into dating because they feel a need to do so others date because everyone seems to be dating some still date because they want to have "fun". All of these are wrong motivations for dating.

Whether you are already dating, about to or not interested in it yet, you must understand that there is an important prerequisite for dating which must be met before dating can be done appropriately.

If this prerequisite is not met and established then there's no point dating because it would just be a waste of time.

We have made so much fuss about dating but I bet that a minute number of youths can accurately define what dating is.

So, what really is dating?

Dating is a form of romantic courtship typically between two individuals with the aim of assessing the other's suitability as a partner.

It is a system used to determine how suitable a member of the opposite sex is for marriage.

The word "courtship" which is used in my first definition is the art of soliciting or begging for a woman's hand in marriage.

And this leads us to what the foremost prerequisite for dating is.

Marriage-Readiness.

The first phenomenon which must be in place before you begin to date is marriage readiness.

If you are not ready for marriage then you are not ready for dating. Dating is not just a romantic affair as many youths see it but a romantic courtship. Courtship implying that marriage should be the intention for dating.

Dating is not for frolicking but the first step in the process of getting married. It is a system for getting to know your partner before you both tie the knots. The intention of dating is not for funfare but marraigefare.

As against the believed concept of dating which sees dating as a platform for just hanging out and having fun with a member of the opposite sex, dating is actually the first step to getting married. It iniates the marriage process.

If dating initiates marriage processes why date when you are not planning on getting married? If dating is a form of romantic courtship to test the suitability of a partner of what use is it when you are not ready for marriage?

The world system would encourage dating at whatever stage and age but as believers we must not be conformed to the system of dating which the world advocates. We are not of this world therefore we must not be ruled and governed by the system the world advocates.

There's no point dating if you are not ready for marriage. The first phenomenon you must establish correctly before you begin dating is "how ready are you for marriage?".

Ask yourself the following questions;

• Are you ready for marriage?
• Can you get married to the person you want to date?
• Will you get married to the person you are dating, should in case you are already dating?
• Can you spend the rest of your life with the person you want to date?
• Do you see an enviable future with the person you want to date?
• Will you be willing to let go of your will and desires for the happiness and joy of the person you want to date?

Until you are able to sincerely answer the above questions positively then I advise that you delay your entry into dating.

Dating is useless unless you are marriage-ready!!
Do not venture into something you would live on to regret. Be ready for marriage before you think about dating.

The Right Attitude to Prayer

Are you not tired of praying without getting answers or response?
Are you not fed up of praying and having situations unchanged?

How comes you're still wallowing in the very predicament which you have being praying about?
Why does it seem as though God is distant from you and deaf to your cries?

There are a couple of reasons with which the above questions can be answered. The reason I would sharing today is based on our attitude to prayer.

One of the reasons why our prayers go unanswered is due to the way we pray. Our attitude towards prayer must obey certain principles else prayer would be nothing but an unfruitful venture.

I would be showing you three(3) factors that make up the right attitude and approach to prayer.

With these factors in place you can not have an ineffective prayer life. No! It is simply not possible.

1. Diligence

".... for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." – Hebrews 11:6b

Anyone who must come to God must be aware that God rewards all who seek Him and not just seek Him, seek Him diligently.

Three Prevalent Reasons For Weightless Prayers

If your prayers will bear any effect then you must mingle your prayers with diligence. God does not respond to just anyone who calls upon Him. He responds to only those who seek His face diligently.

What is diligence?

Diligence is defined as being conscientious and determined or persevering when doing something.

Being diligent in prayers is simply persevering in prayers. It is about setting measurable prayer goals and persevering in prayers until those prayer goals are attained and achieved.

The only time God is compelled to show Himself to anyone who seeks Him is when that person seeks Him with diligence.

God is not moved by fine-sounding or fluent ongues neither is He moved by tears and wailing but by prayers mixed with diligence.

2. Persistence

"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me."
– Luke 18:1-5

Jesus in the text above used an entire parable to emphasize that "men ought ALWAYS to pray and not to faint". He was trying to show us that prayer is not viable without persistence.

The Overly Neglected Ingredient For Attracting Answers to Prayers

The judge in our text as Jesus made us believe was one who neither feared God nor regarded men. He was under no obligation to grant the widow justice but because of the widow's persistent plea for justice, the judge had no option than to grant it to her.

In verse 7 of Luke 18, Jesus says;
"And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?"

God may delay to act. He may allow that predicament to go on for a little while but He expects that you continue to call on His name regardless of what looks like His delay.

Like the father of Martin Luther King (Jnr), Luther King asserts "pray and let God worry" you just need to keep on praying. Just pray and allow God to do but the paperwork and the main work.

The widow in Luke 18 would never have gotten justice if she didn't persistently seek for it. Even when it seems like that which you're praying for will not happen just keep on praying.

God is not handicapped to respond to our prayers. He is not wicked nor is He unable to answer us when we call. He is just waiting to see a persistent flow of prayers.

3. Desperation

"To get the best out of your prayer time, you must know what you want and come before God desperately" – Brodrick Emmanuel Ebube

"But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul." – Deuteronomy 4:29

There are about 3000+ promises in the Bible and all of these promises have got an attached command. God would always say "if you do this, I will do this"

One of such promises is found in our point's text – Deuteronomy 4:29
The scripture text can be inverted thus;
To find God, you would have to seek Him and seek Him with all your heart and soul – that's desperation.

Everything that's glorious is hidden. If you must find God then you must seek Him. Just seeking Him isn't enough, you must seek Him desperately.

Maintaining The Fire of Corporate Prayers

When Jesus was on earth, prayer was simply about meeting with Jesus. People met Jesus to learn about God (Nicodemus, The Rich Youngman e.t.c), others met Jesus to be healed (Blind Bartimaeus, The ten lepers, Jairus, The Centurion e.t.c) and so on all of these was what prayers was about since Jesus was here on earth and could be accessed by physical interaction.

In Matthew 15, we see a desperate Canaanite woman;

"And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."

At a point this woman who have said "can you imagine this Jesus, calling me a dog, who does He think He is, Rubbish!" and she would be robbed of healing.

But being desperate, she never allowed the hurtful words of Jesus deter her. She had a clear vision of what she wanted and not even Jesus could stop her from getting it.

Some of us take prayers to be a religious function or activity. To get the best out of your prayer time, you must get a picture of what you want and come before God in prayers desperately.

It was the Canaanite woman's desperation that healed her daughter. It was Hannah's desperation that gave her Samuel. Desperation is potent if enough to make your prayers very effective.

You can move your prayer life from being boring, unexciting, uninteresting, unfruitful,and ineffective to being very effective, powerful, and exciting. The key lies in this right attitude to prayers.

The Last Beacon of Hope For The World

In a world beset by varying degrees of ills, turbulence, pestilence, and troubles we have sought solutions but no solution found has proven to bear any lasting effect.

From famine to drought to war to global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer to crime to the outbreak of killer diseases to cyber attacks to bad politicking and governance to fraud and so on the world has continually plunge into depths of doom, ruin and destruction.

The world has lost its original balance of peace, tranquility and order and it their place disorder, chaos and conflicts have being established.

Several methods and tactics have being applied to salvage the world but none has yielded any result. Intellects have failed, valiance has failed, leaders have failed almost all of the corrective measure which we have implemented in the world today have failed!

Is this the fate of the world? Was this world created to be destroyed? Can there ever be a remedy for the ruins the world has plunged into? What can be done to save that which is left of this world? What can salvage the world?

It would interest you to know that despite all the measures that have failed in our bid to salvage our world there remains one last beacon of hope.

There's is one, just one solution which the world has employed. There is one measure which has being in existence for long but has been despised by all and sundry.

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." – 2 Corinthians 4:4

This beacon of hope is the man, Jesus the Christ.

Jesus is the best, standard and authentic solution to all of the world's problems. He is the remedy to all which seems to be out of place in the world.

The world continues to remain in this perpetual state of ruin and in this distorted form because it has refused to acknowledge the supremacy of Jesus as the Christ, accept Him and come under His Lordship.

How is Jesus the solution to the problem of the world? Don't worry I would show you...

God created the world and according to Genesis 1:31 He saw that it was good. Good meaning that the world was perfect, established in good working order.

Along the line, sin crept into the glorious world which God had created. The first man and woman (Adam and Eve) fell to the sin of disobedience in Genesis 3 and opened the door for the devil to disconfigure the world which God has configured properly well.

The entrance of sin gave the devil dominion over the world and as his form is the devil's mandate is to kill, steal, and ultimately destroy (John 10:10). It is on the strength of this that the devil has perpetrated ills and evil in the world.

But Jesus rose to the rescue.

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." – Matthew 1:21

Jesus came so that He would save us from sin. Sin brought and facilitated doom in the world and Jesus came to deliver the world from it.

God's love for you and I was showcased when He allowed Jesus to die for us so that we might be free from sin.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."– John 3:16-17

God does not want anyone of us to perish. He doesn't want the world to continue on the path of doom and destruction which sin has placed us on hence He(God) allowed Jesus to come die for us.

Jesus died on the cross to save human race from what she is going through. His death was meant to purge us off the effect and influence of sin.

The reason why the world is still threading the path of destruction despite the fact that Jesus has died is because the world and all that is in it have not accepted the free gift of salvation which Jesus' death procured.

The world would not stop plunging into depths of ruins until we turn away from our evil ways, repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour before He would save the world.

Jesus is the last beacon of hope for the world.

Are you saved? Have you accepted Jesus' free gift of Salvation? Are you comfortable in the pleasures of sin?

I counsel you today to give up your evil ways and accept Jesus today. Jesus is the answer, the only legit answer for the world. No other corrective measure would work except His own measure.

If you're not right with God I urge you to say this prayer with me;

Lord Jesus,
I acknowledge I am a sinner
I acknowledge that you died to save me from sin
I acknowledge that you are the last beacon of hope for the world
Today, I decide to forsake my sins
I decide to live for you and you alone
Show me mercy
Help me live righteously and holy
Thank you Lord
In Jesus name
Amen.

Why Poverty Resides With Believers

Why are believers given to poverty? Why has the Christian faith become characterized with poverty? Why are Christians unable to make wealth and get rich despite all of God's promises in the scriptures about wealth and becoming rich?

Are we not studying the scriptures as we ought to? Are the scriptures not yea and amen anymore? Are we not praying as we are supposed to? Are we not applying the right principles for financial prosperity?

Well today, I would be sharing certain reasons why I believe poverty seems to have found a dweeling place in the households of believers.

Despite all that Jesus has done for us it is as though the lot of believers is poverty and a life of penury.

Please I counsel that you take seriously every reason I'd be sharing except you want to remain in poverty, living a sub-normal and an abnormal life.

#1. Substituting Spirituality For Work

The Christian faith is filled with spiritual people who are not ready to work. Believers often substitute work for spirituality.

They yield themselves so much to prayers, fasting, the study of the word and other spiritual functions but are lazy to work.

In 2 Thessalonians, Apostle Paul who was a very busy man labouring in the gospel and his walk with the Spirit of God cited that while he was in Thessalonica he did not sit idly but went to work.

In chapter three (3) and verse (4) of 2 Thessalonians we see Paul giving a command that "Whosoever refuses to work should not eat".

Apostle Paul was a very balanced man. While he laboured spiritually he set out to work also. He never sat idly expecting that the people who got converted through his ministry would feed him or his spirituality would yield him money instead he set out to work.

Spirituality or being spiritual is never a substitute for work. If you must be successful and push poverty out of your life you must work.

#2. Zero Diligence

"Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men" – Proverbs 22:29

The scripture above asks a question which goes thus "Have you seen a man who applys diligence to what he does?".

The writer of Proverbs answers by saying that man who is diligent in his business would stand before kings and nobles. He would not stand before mean men and commoners.

The christian worker applys zero diligence to what he does. Diligence in what you do is what takes you up the ranks to become a sought-after authority in your field of endeavour.

Diligence makes you excellent, excellence increases your value and with an increase in value comes an increase in finances.

No one would want to work with someone who is not excellent, someone who is incompetent and extremely horrible at what he or she does. Men reward excellence and competence.

"The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute" – Proverbs 12:24

"He becometh poor who dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich." – Proverbs 10:4

Riches can only come on the template of a diligent approach to work. Poverty would come knocking when you treat your work or business incompetently. It is on the strength of being diligent that one can become successful and rich.

Success and wealth are the products of a diligent approach to work. Stop offering "Zero Diligence" to work except you want to roommates with poverty.

#3. Lack of Creativity

"A man's gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men" – Proverbs 18:16

Recently, I was speaking to someone and he was telling me of the several strings of things he had set out to do in order to earn a living. We spoke at length and he ended his discourse with the theme "creativity".

Believers are not creative. We have tilted our focus to working for the government and a particular way of doing something. We do not want to think in all edges of and outside the box. We limit our sight to only insight, neglecting foresight.

God is a creator. He is creative and since we were made in His image He has deposited creative nature into us but sadly we are not willing to harness it and make good use of it.

God has given to us all gifts and talents in hope that we would use them to make profit for ourselves and our families. It is this gifting which God has deposited in us that the writer of Proverbs speaks of having the ability to make room for us and bring us before great men.

Our lack of creativity has made us unable to resist the influence of poverty. It is like having the drugs and the correct prescription for curing malaria lying on the table yet you're dying of malaria fever.

What we need to rise above poverty is lying dormant within us. Discover your gifts and talents and begin to make use of them. That's what creativity is about.

Your gifts and talents are your access keys to unlocking the doors of wealth and financial freedom. That's why God placed them in you.

#4. Low Business Mentality

This is more or less a continuation from the previous point.

I have noticed a grievous deficiency in the Body of Christ of what I'd like to call "business mentality/sense".
Believers are blinded towards business opportunities lurking in their localities.

I was told a story of a Nigerian woman who travelled to somewhere in North America I believe to visit her daughter who just gave birth.

While overseas, this woman discovered that the residents of the neighborhood where her daughter was staying where majorly Nigerians.

Armed with this discovery, this woman from Nigeria found a business opportunity. She began to fry bean balls what Nigerians call " Akara" in North America. Imagine selling fried bean balls (akara) in North America.

Interestingly, this woman made so much money in dollars frying Akara that she began to establish certain things in her hometown in Nigeria that many working class Nigerians in her community couldn't do.

She was in North America weeks and she found out that business opportunity yet some persons have stayed in that same neighborhood for more than ten (10) years and never saw the business opening this woman saw.

There are several business opportunities lurking around us. We only need to think deeply and look keenly.

Here's something:
Think of a way to make a process easy for people. Think of something which people are in dire need of but find it hard to access.

Before long you'd see that business opportunity in your vicinity.

Even if you forget every other thing, remember this, there is always a business opportunity within your neighborhood, your institution of learning, your state e.t.c do not leave your brain dormant think our these business opportunities.

The christian faith is not of poverty. Debunk the belief that being a Christian means you've signed up for a life of poverty and penury. Poverty can be checked out and you can become successful and rich if only you decide to get to work.

See you on the profitable side of life.

Apostle Johnson Suleiman Gifts 6.5 Million Naira To Unemployed Church Members

Benevolence has always being the watchword of Apostle Johnson Suleiman the founder of Omega Fire Ministry with headquarters at Auchi, Edo State.

The man of God's benevolence was on display again today, Sunday the 20th of January, 2018 as he dished out cash gifts to the tune of 6.5 Million naira to the unemployed members of his church.

Together with his wife, Dr Lizzy Suleiman, Apostle Johnson Suleiman handed envelope parcels of cash after calling out the unemployed during Sunday Service in church today.

Goodness, benevolence, kindness, generosity, and goodwill have not departed from the church. It is so unfortunate that the media would not take note of this kind gesture by God's servant.

Share this post until it gets to everyone online. The church is marching on and no authority from hell can prevail against it.

How I Make My Personal Prayer Time Very Exciting [UPDATED]

Having dull moments during your personal prayer time? Do you excruciatingly pray when you do so alone? Are your prayer times often boring, dull, and never exciting?

I have had that experience before. I would show so much fervour praying corporately with others but when I am alone, prayer is as boring as watching a snail cover a long distance.

 Today, I would be sharing my own secrets for making my prayer time very exciting. Ever since I began to apply these secrets my personal prayer time has increasingly became exciting.

 Usually, believers love corporate prayers more than personal prayers (I use to) but with these secrets I have come to love the secret place alone; wherein it is just me, my loud voice and God.

 If you want your personal prayer time to be so much fun then I counsel that you follow these secrets which I am going to be sharing diligently.

 If you do not wish to have an exciting prayer time, do yourself the favour and close this tab otherwise, come with me as I unveil the secrets behind my very exciting personal prayer time.

SECRET #1: SEEING PRAYER AS COMMUNING WITH GOD

 Whenever I want to pray I see it as a time to discuss and commune with my heavenly Father

 I see God as the very source of my existence. He is my life-source. The Spirit in whom I live and move and have my being thus having the privilege of talking to Him and have Him talk back to me in the place of prayer is push enough to make prayers very exciting for me.

 There's practically no other way with which I can talk to God other than by prayers and I like to make good use of this privilege and platform to commune daily with Him.

 Dr. Paul Enenche said that at the place of prayer man is enabled to see his life from the perspective of God. Prayers affords me the opportunity to see my life in the light of God's own perspective which is the most superior perspective.

 I understand that I am nothing without God hence communing with Him keeps me alive and kicking. Failing to commune with God is like being detached from my life source which ultimately translates to death.

 To this end prayer time has got to be funtime for me

 SECRET #2: TRUSTING GOD'S SPIRIT TO HELP ME PRAY

I pray a lot in tongues.

I love English language in fact I pride myself in speaking heavy vocabulary so people reconcile with the fact that I am a brilliant, smart dude but with prayers I cannot express myself in English language for two (2) minutes.

I could speak all manner of grammar and vocabulary when I am talking to people but when it is time to talk to God English is a limitation.

My personal prayer time is characterized by tongues through out. It is only when there's a quickening in my spirit man then I might say a sentence or two in English and I am back "tonguing".

I do not pray in English just because I find it hard to express myself in it but because I am relying on the Holy Spirit to help me pray to this end speaking in tongues is my resort.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." – Romans 8:26

From the scripture above, I found out that I always would not know the right things to pray for. So that I won't be praying amiss I pray in tongues to allow the Holy Spirit pray through me.

Usually, when I attended a church gathering or a prayer meeting and prayers are offered and my spirit is not so comfortable with the prayers being raised, I quickly remind myself of Romans 8:26 and forget the prayer point being raised trusting the Holy Spirit to pray for me as I pray in other tongues.

With tongues you can never pray wrongly.

Whenever I am unsure of what to pray about, I simply allow my mind go blank then I begin to pray in tongues before long something projects into my spirit and like light it illuminates my heart which was darkened by ignorance.

I sometimes feel uncomfortable when I am praying in tongues. Firstly because I can be very loud and secondly because not everyone around me speaks fluently in tongues.

Then I am reminded of 1 Corinthians 14:2

"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."

This tells me that I am not praying to any man but to God and since speaking in tongues is communicating deep mysteries to God which He alone understands then I am answerable to no man.

My personal prayer time is uniquely based on the Holy Spirit both to help me pray and to give me strength to pray.

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." – Romans 8:11

I am aware that if the Spirit which raised Jesus from the dead has found residence in me that same Spirit is able to quicken my very body, my flesh to pray.

It is because you are praying by the energy of your flesh that is why your personal prayer time is boring.

I rely solely on God's Spirit to not only help me pray in accordance to Romans 8:26 but also to quicken me to pray according to Romans 8:11

SECRET #3: QUOTING SCRIPTURES AS I PRAY

This is my best secret for an exciting personal prayer time.

This secret proves that Hebrews 4:12 is true and real.

Anytime I pray and make scriptural references I am energized and poised to pray.

Often times as I pray, scriptures are shot into my spirit man by the Holy Spirit and when I say them out joy, zeal and energy floods me.

I keep my Bible handy as I pray. This is because I might be prompted to recite a scripture and if I am not articulating the words off hand I quickly consult my Bible.

If you have yielded yourself to prayer you would agree that in the place of prayer certain scriptures just seem to pop up in your Spirit other times you are compelled to read the Bible even while you are praying. It is the Spirit's aid for praying.

Some of the verses which I normally quote when I pray includes;

Psalms 80:18
"So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name."

James 5:17
"Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months."

Luke 18:1
"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;"

Jeremiah 33:3
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Romans 8:11
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

Romans 8:26
"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Romans 12:12
"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;"
Philippians 4:6
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

Ephesians 6:12
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Ephesians 6:18
"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
Proverbs 18:1
"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom."

These are not the only scriptures I quote when praying. They are the ones I often quote.

I trust God's Spirit to bring me scriptures as I pray but to keep me going in the place of prayers the above scriptures come in handy.

If you take a look at them you would see a single theme; prayer except proverbs which has a theme peculiar to my life.

When tiredness sets in I know what scripture knob to turn. When my spirit becomes faint I know the exact scripture to navigate to and I am firing again.

You can never have a dull prayer time when you apply this secret. This is my personal best secret for excitingly praying alone.

SECRET #4: REMINDING MYSELF OF THE BENEFITS OF PRAYER

Finally, to make my personal prayer time exciting I remind myself of the benefits which can be gotten from prayers.

They are numerous and I can't possibly name them all. A few includes;

1. Intimacy with God's Spirit

2. Vision and Direction

3. Purpose discovery and fulfillment

4. Alignment for Ministry

5. Gaining Relevance

6. Attaining Power and Authority before God and Man

7. Preservation and Protection from Spiritual Powers, Forces, and Influences

8. Living above sin

9. Becoming a wonder to my generation

10. Getting wisdom, knowledge and understanding

And so much more.

Anytime I reflect on the immense and numerous benefits of prayers I resort to praying the more.

I know that if I must become who God has predestinated me to become then I must be yielded to prayers.

I must have to give my self to prayers but when it is convenient or not.

SECRET #5: PLAYING SONGS OF WORSHIP FROM MY PHONE

I actually learnt this from someone who loves to sing while praying but does not know how to sing.

When he wants to pray, he uses his mobile phone to play worship songs, as he prays his phone does the singing for him.

I considered it and began to use the same method during my personal prayer time and since I began using this method I have found it effective for making personal prayer time very exciting.

I pride myself in owning a catalogue of unique worship songs scrutinized properly before sent to my phone.

I never put a song on my phone that does not bear a spiritual emphasis. If the song does not minister to my spirit it can't stay on my phone.

I am perplexed when I see believers keeping secular songs on their phones claiming the Bible doesn't condemn love and inspirational songs.

If your mobile phone's music player can not serve the purpose of worship when you pray then you are simply an unserious christian who isn't ready to walk with God.

These secrets have made my personal prayer time very exciting and I am persuaded that when you diligently apply them and follow them you will never experience a boring prayer time.

It is my earnest desire that the least among us becomes as strong as David and that can only happen when we give ourselves to prayers.

SHALOM!

Maintaining The Fire Of Corporate Prayers

The performance of corporate prayers bears with it immense benefits. Corporate prayers is about two or more persons coming together to offer prayers.

Corporate prayers come in the form of persons praying together as prayer partners to prayers offered during church meetings to prayer ministries and so on.

Personally, one of the benefits I have gotten from corporate prayers is the drive to carryout personal prayers. Corporate prayers spurs me into personal prayers. It creates the needed revival when I notice a decline in my fervour in personal prayers.

Anytime I notice weakness in my personal prayer life one of the corrective measures I implement is to engage in corporate prayers and BOOM I find my steady pedestal mounting up in the place of personal prayers.

Another benefit which can be procured from corporate prayers is the transferring and receiving of grace.

Whenever corporate prayers are offered there is an atmosphere like a chemical reaction which allows the spirit of everyone involved to achieve permeability such that grace can be transferred and received.

From the place of corporate prayers you can receive the grace resident in another person's life as long as the prayers are offered in one accord, with one voice, and in unity.

Diverse encounters and strength is released when we come together to pray. Corporate prayers create a system for obtaining strength and fostering spiritual stabilty.

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend."– Proverbs 27:17 [KJV]

When we come together to pray, the weak among us receives strength, the one who was on the verge of backsliding is stayed from doing so and we grow in faith.

Without doubt, corporate prayers bears great benefits.
As beneficial and wonderful as corporate prayers can be, it does not substitute the need for personal prayers.

There are certain instructions, commands, and information that God would give you only when you are alone with Him.

God does not release classified information in just any location. There are certain things He would never say to you when you are in a crowd.

To get the perspective of God for your life you would have to seek His face alone. You must know the place of prayer for yourself.

Do not get me wrong. God speaks even in corporate prayers. He just would not always speak to you when you are in a crowd.

One of the problems believers face is that of praying alone. Praying in a group can be sweet whereas praying alone can be the opposite but nevertheless praying alone is of more importance than praying corporately.

It would interest you to know that all the benefits from corporate prayers can only be sustained via personal prayers.

The fire you capture from corporate prayers can only be maintained and kept alive through the performance of personal prayers.

How then can we maintain and utilize effectively the fire of corporate prayers?

The answer lies in just one word;

CONSISTENCY

Yes! Consistency!

David speaking said;

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" – Psalms 91:1

Corporate prayers fire and fervour can only be maintained when one dwells in the place of personal prayers.

The word dwells means to live or to reside. It is not a one-time action. It is a continuous task.
He who dwells; continually resides in the place of personal prayers.

To keep every benefit you get from corporate prayers you must discipline yourself to continually yield your members to personal prayers.

Apostle Paul admonishes;

"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;" – Romans 12:12 [KJV]

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" – Colossians 4:2 [KJV]

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;" – Ephesians 6:18 [KJV]

In the scripture verses above the theme is not just about praying but of consistency in prayer. Not of a one-time action but of a continuous approach to prayers.

It is only in consistency that we can harness the power of prayer.
Whatsoever you get from corporate prayers would be lost if you refuse to yield your members and give yourself to consistent personal prayers.

Apostle Arome Osayi Releases Prophecies For 2019

Apostle Arome Osayi of Remnant Christian Network (RCN) has released prophecies for the year 2019. The prophecies from Apostle Arome cuts across the nation Nigeria and the Body of Christ.

- There will be judgement against false ministers, especially those that fake miracles and the prophetic; there will be many scandals and many shall be exposed.

- False apostolic platforms will begin to fall.

- Finally, Nigeria is now in focus for spiritual leadership and to this end heaven will manipulate the forthcoming elections.
After the elections have been concluded, God will bring His man on board.
And as God changes the political scene, He will also change the spiritual atmosphere of Nigeria.

- I see a flame over Abuja.
God will do a great work in the church in the city of Abuja.
A lot of young people will be raised in that city.

- There shall be a shaking, for I see a dark cloud from the enemy rising over the nation.
This cloud will not last, but lives will be lost.
The lord said pray against blood shed (4×).

- A major man of God in the country will suffer a major scandal, but this will be an act of mercy from the Lord to deliver him from error. It will be God's last attempt at restoring him.

- Nigeria will wear a new garment and the new Nigeria will begin this year 2019.

- God will begin to remember Benue state and some things that died in the state will revive.

- Niger, Kaduna, Anambra and kwara pray. There shall be a great shaking, but Jehovah will intervene.

- January is a sensitive month. Pray in January.

Where not to be in 2019:

1. A church or Ministry where Christ and His Kingdom is not the emphasis of the message;

2. A place where the Holy Spirit is relegated to the background;

3. A place where the Spirit of God is always grieved when you attend;

4. A place where hero worship is practiced;

5. A place where sin is tolerated;

6. A place where the teachings are esoteric and metaphysical and a distraction from the path of spiritual progress;

7. A place where you don't see the life of Christ modeled in the leaders;

8. A place where prayer is not part of the culture modeled In its civilization.

Don't Thread This Path if You Must Become Successful

The journey to becoming successful is not of unintentional pursuit but of careful, calculated efforts targeted at achieving the predetermined goal.

No one becomes successful by chance. Everyone who is successful didn't become so by sitting lazily and expecting luck to come his/her way.

As Lydia Sweatt of Success.com wrote "Success doesn’t just find you. You have to go out and get it." Successful people are not idle people. They are people who have captured a vision and are working towards achieving it.

The path to becoming successful is one with other paths in it. It is like a major road with several lanes which lead to the end point regardless.

It is like having a road which has other lanes in it leading to the end path of success but sadly there are diversions which many often prefer to make use of.

These diversions never lead to success. They only lead to regrets and sorrows. Rather than remain on the lanes though they may seem to long and uncertain we often choose the diversions.

Today I am going to be exposing one path which is a diversion from the path to becoming successful. If you desire to be successful you must never thread on this path.

Come with me because I believe you are about to read a piece which would set you firm on the path to becoming successful.

"The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing." – Proverbs 20:4

The diversion on the path of becoming successful which you must avoid is that of EXCUSES.

King Solomon says that the sluggard will not plow not because he is not strong or because he doesn't have the tools for plowing but because of the cold.

So many of us are quick to give excuses why we are where we are, why we failed in the task we set out to accomplish, why we are not able to do this or to do that. We are full of excuses.

Always presenting excuses why we cannot do a thing is an indication that we are not ready for success. No man who truly wants to be successful would be quick to give excuses.

Excuses are birthed from an individual who is not ready to be successful. Success comes only to those who work for it and not those who give excuses as to why they failed to work.

You cannot eat your cake and have it back. You can't refuse to work, present excuse and expect that you would get the benefit of workers. When you refuse to work you would exist in penury. There can't be food for lazy people.

The major reason why people profer excuses is due to IRRESPONSIBILITY.
Responsible people do not have the leverage of giving excuses.

If you must be successful you must take responsible for your actions and inactions. You can't fold your arms and expect lines to fall into pleasant places for you when you do not work.
Refusing to work would only bring you to penury.

Irresponsibility is what gives rise to excuses. Check the lives of people who are always giving excuses they are irresponsible people, individuals who are unwilling to take hold of their lives and forge ahead in destiny.

Success does not come and meet you. You would have to go out and meet it. You do not meet with success with a mindset of irresponsibility neither do you become successful by giving excuses for not doing what you are expected to do.

Theodore Roosevelt said that "If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your troubles, you wouldn't sit for a month".

What this means is that you are the architect of most of your troubles. A man is the architect of his woes so refusing to take responsibility for your actions and inactions simply means you are not ready for success.

You can never rise above your level of responsibility. With a responsible approach to life comes a deviation from giving excuses.

Do not thread the path of giving excuses. Choose to take responsibility for your life. Choose to take responsibility for your actions and inactions.

Determine never to make use of the diversions on the path to becoming successful but to take the long lanes.

Make a commitment to rise above giving excuses and to live responsibly.

The Essence, Requirement and Significance of Water Baptism

Water Baptism is one of the most accepted ordinance in the Body of Christ. Pentecostals, Methodists, Roman Catholics, Baptists, Anglicans, and so on all practice the ordinance of water baptism.

Water Baptism is the dipping in water by complete immersion. The practice of water baptism as seen in scriptures is not of water sprinkling as some hold but of whole immersion in water.

Today, I'd be sharing with you some of the essence and the significance of water baptism. Why are we expected to carry out the ceremony of water baptism? Why must everyone be baptized in water? What are the requirements for water baptism? Of what significance is water baptism?

I would be answering this questions as we proceed in this piece.

Here's what to expect;

• Requirements for Water Baptism
• Essence of Water Baptism and
• Significance of Water Baptism

REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER BAPTISM

Before you can be baptized in water there is a requirement Jesus gave. In Mark 16:16, Jesus said;

"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

From the scripture above, we see that the basic requirement necessary for water baptism is believe in Jesus Christ. Until you truly and genuinely believe in Jesus then you are not a candidate for water baptism.

Believe in Jesus is not by a verbal proclamation. It is the forsaking of the old self and accepting the new life Jesus Christ is offering.

Such a decision cannot be made by a baby thus the baptism of children is an aberration as against the required expectation.

A person who must be baptized must first forsake sin and having believed in Jesus accept the life of Christ and begin to live in accordance to the parameters of the new life.

Believe in Jesus Christ is what entitles one for the performance of Water baptism.

ESSENCE OF WATER BAPTISM

Why must we be baptized in water? On what essence is the Church's stand on water baptism driven on?

Water baptism is one of the cardinal doctrines of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a part of the great commission.

As you know, the great commission is Jesus' mandate to His disciples which is hereunto passed to us. The great commission in full reads;

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
– Mark 16:15-16

Part of Jesus' mandate for the Church includes water baptism. In verse sixteen (16) of Mark sixteen (16) we see that for as many for believe the gospel we preach, they should be baptized.

So we can see the commision as having two sections.

Section A: Preach the gospel
Section B: Baptize all who believe.

It is to this end that water baptism is expected to be an integral part of the Church's function. No one who believes is exempted from carrying out the ceremony of water baptism.

SIGNIFICANCE OF WATER BAPTISM

There are so many reasons why we be baptized in water. Aside being a commission and a mandate from Jesus, water baptism is essential due to the following significances.

1. It is a Public Declaration or Attestation

Water baptism issues out a notice to the world that no longer are we of the world. It is a public declaration attesting to the fact that the one being dipped into water has turned his/her back to the world and its ways and has decided to follow Jesus the Christ.

2. It Shows We Conform To The Set Pattern Of Jesus Christ

Water baptism is of a great significance because it is indicative of the fact that we die (immersion in water) like Jesus and we are raised (bringing out from water) like Him unto a new life.

Since Jesus died and resurrected, we connect and conform to that pattern by performing the ordinance of water baptism.

Apostle Paul supports this claim;

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." – Romans 6:4

Water baptism is indicative of the fact that we partake in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

3. It Establishes Our Existence as Spiritual Beings

The perfect standpoint of a man is to function in accordance to the Spirit of God. Baptism in water shows that we are dead to sin and our spirit man is activated to a livelihood dependent on the Spirit of God.

Water baptism establishes our spirit man on the plain on true existence. It turns on every spiritual sensor and perception gland that our spirit man.

Being dead to sin and alive to God by virtue of the complete immersion in water shows that we are spiritual beings no longer controlled by the power and nature of sin.

Once a person believes in Jesus Christ and repents of His sin, he/she becomes entitled for water baptism and like the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:36 nothing hinders such a one from being baptized.

Sadly, whatever may stop you from being baptized can stop you from making Heaven. I do hope that if you haven't being baptized by complete immersion in water you'd crave to do so.

It is only by complete immersion in water following believe in Jesus and the forsaking of sin that your baptism is valid. Water sprinkling is not the Bible's standard for baptism.

MARANATHA

BECOMING SUCCESSFUL: 3 Underlying Benefits of Accountability

There has never being anyone who became successful without the help of another who has being successful. This is the concept postulated by mentorship.

Photo Credit: SHEA Mentoring Program

No one became successful outside the tutorage of another person who has already being successful. Either by direct mentoring or indirect mentoring, every successful person became successful by yielding to mentorship.

Sir Isaac Newton said "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants". Imagine Sir Isaac Newton with the great feats he achieved in the field of science, he still considers himself a product of mentorship. This exemplifies the great need for mentoring and mentorship in the raising of successful men and women in every sphere of human existence.

My focus today is not on the broad topic of mentorship as a prerequisite for being successful but of a facet of mentoring which is attributed to its potent power of making men successful and that is accountability.

Accountability is defined by the Merriam-webster online dictionary as the quality of being accountable that is subject to giving an answer especially about an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.
In simple terms, accountability is the quality of being able to give answers and explanations, bearing responsibility for both your actions and inactions.

How does accountability help you navigate successfully through the pathway of becoming successful?
I would be sharing three(3) benefits which I consider most often neglected as benefits of accountability. I'd like to refer to these benefits as "The Underlying Benefits of Accountability". Sojourn with me as I unveil them.

BENEFIT #1 – HEIGHTENS PERFORMANCE

Bearing in mind that you would have to answer for your inability to accomplish certain undertakings would instill in you the drive to do more work thus heightening your performance.

Knowing fully well that failing to hit the benchmark of expectation calibrated for you by your mentor would cause you to fall out of favour in the presence of your mentor is enough to spur you into doing more work.

Accountability heightens performance. It makes you do more so you do not get to present excuses as to why you failed to accomplish the tasks set before you.

Students know that there would be a day of accountability where they are expected to pass examinations on all they have been taught. Even if a student dislikes a course, he/she is mandated to study hard so he performs well on the day of accountability.
Thus, there is no arguing that accountability is key to spurring and heightening performance.

BENEFIT #2 – BIRTHS RESPONSIBILITY

"If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your troubles, you wouldn't sit for a month" – Theodore Roosevelt

One of the lacking yet needful traits in our lives is the trait of being responsible. Among youths and adolescents there's a serious departure from the characteristic of being responsible to being too carefree, less concerned, unserious, and negligent of important issues.

Without responsibility no success can be recorded. Theodore Roosevelt was right with the quote at the beginning of this point. You are responsible for most of your troubles whether you decide to take responsibility for them or not. As much as you are responsible for your troubles and misfortunes you are also responsible for your success. Sadly, there's little or no inclination to being responsible in young people today.

We are quick to blame the government, blame parents, blame uncles and anuties for our troubles and ill-luck forgetting that a man is the architect of his own woes. So one can take responsibility for your life except you.

The bitter truth is: you will never rise above your level of responsibility. Becoming successful is a function of being responsible. Responsible for your actions, your failures, your successes, your mind, your emotions, responsible for your life.

Responsibility is about setting priorities right and taking the needed action to actualize them.
Accountability births responsibility and responsibility carries with it so many benefits which cuts across;

  • Time Management

  • Prioritized Living

  • Determination

  • Accomplishment of Set Goals

BENEFIT #3 – ELIMINATES IDLENESS

Accountability spurs you out of idleness. It eliminates idleness by keeping you engaged. You cannot want pleasure when you are supposed to work seeing that you'd have to give account for your workdone. You don't stand idly when you are expected to work and bring back feedback.

The very fact that you might have a disappointed mentor if you do not meet up to his/her expectation tremendously compels you to act and work rather than be idle you become engaged.

I know I have to give account to God for the gifts and talents that He has deposited in me and so I can't afford to sit idly. This knowledge keeps me engaged at all times.

There's a popular saying that "an idle mind is the devil's workshop". In order to avoid being the devil's workshop you have to get engaged in a positive, productive work spurred as a necessity by being accountable.

Conclusively, accountability is a facet of mentorship which exposes you to the realities of the work which must be done as you journey to becoming successful.

The Overly Neglected Ingredient For Attracting Answers To Prayers

The continuously emphasized need for prayers have dragged many out of their slumber state to become very prayerful personalities. More often than not, prayers have been stressed as an art whose mastery must be sought by all who intend to make any tangible and substantial impact, command power and authority with God and before men, assume great relevance, and navigate the spirit realm.

No doubt anyone who refuses to pray is simply stubborn and has desired to shut his/her ears so that sound doctrine would not find penetration and acess to his or her heart.

For any one to make any intercourse genuinely with the spirit of God such a one must have attained buoyancy in prayers.

Based on a study I took sometime around April, 2018 I postulated that believers pray. I studied the prayer lives of believers around me both in the school where I am studying and at home in my local Church and other churches I attended. I also observed by virtue of live broadcasts, audio messages, videos and other forms of media, how believers world over engage in prayers. Truly, believers do pray.

From personal prayers to partnership prayers (between two or more persons who reckon themselves as prayer partners) to prayer ministries solely out for prayers to corporate prayers during church service, the average believer is usually a party to prayer functions.

With the involvement and participation in the art of prayers, there is little or no significant impact recorded as regards answers which can be held on to as a resultant effect of prayers.

While so many believers pray, as though they seek to tear down the heavens there is hardly a resultant effect in the form of answered prayers. We pray and do not draw respons from heaven. We gather together, perform all the spiritual gymnastics known to us while in the place of prayer yet we do not attract a response for all our toiling, travailing and pressing.

What then is the problem? Are we not praying enough? Are we not saying the right words or speaking the right tongues? Are there powers holding our prayer points or its answers?
Didn't God say we should call on Him and He would answer us? Why isn't He answering our prayers?

While there are so many reasons as to why our prayers find no answer, this article focuses on one overly neglected reason. I would love to call it the "Overly neglected ingredient for answered prayers".

Whilst we anxiously come to the place of prayer to pour the contents of our heart, we neglect and trample on so many principles, precepts, and rules which govern the art and the place of prayer.

Prayer like every other kingdom function is an art which is guided by laws, rules, ordinances, guidelines, principles, and precepts. Breaking any of the laws, rules, ordinances, guidelines, principles, and precepts which govern the art of prayer would amount to prayers being only a function of our lips and never finding any response.

One of such principles which I'd like to refer to as the overly neglected ingredient for answered prayers is " The Will of God".
The focus of this article is on just this ingredient. Nevertheless there are a host of other principles and ingredients we neglect which facilitates unanswered prayers. This discourse is centered on the Will of God being the Overly neglected ingredient for answered prayers.

As I stated earlier on, believers do pray a lot but then answers are rarely gotten despite prayers being backed up with mountain-removing faith because we have kept God's will aside when performing the art of prayer and have channelled our prayers to our desires alone.

God would never act when His interest and counsel is not in consideration. If we do quick a review of the prayer points we've prayed in past week, we'd notice a trend of prayers directed only to our personal interest. The path and direction our prayers are tilted towards usually bears the themes of "SELF", " ME" and "MYSELF".

A huge fraction of our prayer points have been centered on ourselves and our bid to having all the factors of living working for our good and on this premise the will of God is exempted and neglected.

Hope you know that God is a jealous God and any move that seeks to hinder His influence, desire, will, and jurisdiction would see Him fight such and I've found out that this accounts among other reasons why our prayers go unanswered.

Someone might want to ask, how biblical is this theory that forms your discourse Gospelcaster?
Let me show you;

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
— 1 John 5:14-15

John shows us that only in praying in total accordance to the will of God that we can be sure that what we have prayed or asked for would find their worthy answers. If we lift up our voices, crying unto God without knowing God's intentions for that timeframe of prayers, we would be undertaking an unfruitful venture.

James supports this idealogy in James chapter four (4) verse three (3);

"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts"

Our prayers have been centered on our lusts, pleasures, wishes, and desires and on this context and foundation our voices can never be heard on high and God would deny us response.

The more self-centered we are when we pray, the more we get to ask God and receive nothing, the more we call on God and get no response, the more we cry and heavens seems to be deaf. Only on the plain of asking in accordance to God's will that our voices can find penetration and access into the throne room of God so that we can gain response from Him.

But then God's ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. How then can we know His will so that we can pray in accordance to it?

First things first you must see prayers not as a monologue where you come and talk alone but as a dialogue when you talk and expect someone to talk back to you.

Imagine you have a friend who doesn't talk to you but is quick to run to you when he/she needs your help. I am sure you would start to avoid the person and restrict performing the person's requests.
It is not a different ball game with God. When all you do is make unending requests to Him channelled at preserving your self thus sidelining God's will and interest, your prayer session would be to God as an uninteresting dialogue and response most likely would be denied you.

Prayer is a dialogue. It is talking to God and having Him talk back to you and not the other way round of presenting a 2,500 word speech in the name of prayers.

The aim and purpose of any dialogue is to attain a mutual plain between the parties involved in the dialogue. Prayer is actually God's invention and system to draw close to men and have the sons of men come close to Him. He invented prayer because He desires fellowship, communion and intimacy and not request tabling.

When your perspective of God is of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) where you go to only when you need to withdraw help, God would be to you as scarce phenomenon like a lunar eclipse.

See prayer as an engagement. A dialogue targeted at procuring intimacy with a loving God. I am not condemning making requests while praying. In as much as you have needs and prayers is your best medium of communicating these needs to God, it is completely wrong when all you do is to table requests to God anytime and everytime you come to pray.
It is wrong when the only facet about the prayer-answering God that you know is that facet of Him that gives and provides.

Inasmuch as it is necessary to tell God of your needs, it is expedient we do not conform our view of prayers as a platform simply for making requests. Prayer is intended to be a dialogue aimed at attaining a mutual playing ground and there is no way you'd get mutual with a person when every time you talk to the person you give him/her requests and support them with an ultimatum sometimes backing them up with threats.

We see believers say things like "God, if you do not do this for me within the next six (6) months, I will backslide". Imagine! Believers make requests, follow it up with an ultimatum and then issue a threat thinking God is an errand boy who is out to fulfill their every wish and command.

God desires that we know Him and love Him. He wants to bring us to a point where mutuality exists between us and Him. This will of His is one of the intents for and the mechanism on which prayer is driven on. So one of God's will is that we know Him and become intimate with Him.

God would always answer a man who genuinely seeks Him. In Matthew, Jesus tells us the secret to prosperity on all sides;

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." – Matthew 6:33

Seeking intimacy with God guarantees prosperity on all sides. He says He'd add " all" these things to you only when you seek to be intimate with Him.

Prayers is also a platform and a tool which must be used to install God's purposes on the earth.

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest."
– Matthew 9:37

"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:" – 2 Thessalonians 3:1

"Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:" – Colossians 4:3

In the scriptures above, we see admonishings channeled at praying to instill God's purposes on the earth. If you analyse your prayers for the last six (6) months you'd find out that none have being targeted at instilling God's purposes on the earth. It has being a selfish art.

In Jesus' model of prayer, He shows us an ingredient for prayer which is my "overly neglected ingredient for answered prayers;

"Thy Kingdom come. The will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." – Matthew 6:10

It is God's will that the earth becomes an extension of Heaven such that as His sovereign will finds expression in Heaven the earth joins in like configuration. To achieve this, God would have to make use of your vocal cords via the place of prayer.

Kingdom advancement is God's primary will. He desires that earth joins in the same form and state heaven currently is in. He wants us to crucify our own will and desires on the cross of seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. He wants you to be solely concerned about Him, His presence, the advancement and establishment of His kingdom on the earth and the pursuit of His righteousness.
Prayer should be about kingdom advancement.

At Shiloh 2018, I marvelled at the so many testimonies recorded by people who prayed " Kingdom Advancement" prayers. The advancement of His kingdom is His will and when your prayers are tilted towards this purpose God is propelled to putting other issues in check for your good and favour.

Deciphering God's will may be a daunting task but He presents us with an easy means. God has provided us with an agency of His Spirit which helps us not to pray amiss.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the WILL OF GOD.
" – Romans 8:26-27 {Emphasis Mine}

We may not always be able to pinpoint what exactly is God's will and how to pray accurately in accordance to His will but we have the Holy Spirit to our rescue.

The Holy Spirit has an agency wherein His task is to help us pray accurately. He helps us pray in accordance to the will of God. He is that Spirit which searches and knows the mind of God and Him alone can breath into you the very will of God for that dispensation of time.

Outside the help of the Holy Spirit, prayer like every other kingdom function would be a waste of time. We would perpetually be praying amiss except we submit to the leading and direction of the Spirit of God as He alone is able to decipher what God's will is.

Never rely on the energy of the flesh in the performance of any kingdom function. In order to pray and not neglect this ingredient of praying in accordance to the will of God, you must rely and trust the Holy Spirit to hell you in the place of prayer.

Be overly dependent on Him because Him alone can help you understand God's will and how you should pray.

It is my earnest desire that we get the very basis of praying effectively and drawing response from Heaven by obeying all the principles and precepts which govern the art of prayer and combining in the accurate, fine proportions every ingredient required for praying and getting Heaven's response.

No more unanswered prayers in Jesus name. Amen.
