[Tales By Gospelcaster] Choose Speed Over Accuracy

Saturday July 20th, 2019 I joined my dad and other persons to his Maize farm. Sincerely, I hate farming. Partly because I can't distinguish between crops and because I detest any activity that stresses me.

But then, each time I visit my dad's farm, I discovered I learn spiritual things from my activities in the farm. On this fateful Saturday I learnt what I am about to share.

The task on the farm for the day was weeding. My dad planted groundnuts on the maize farm. The task became very tedious for me firstly because I didn't know what the groundnut plant look like (one of the reasons why I hate farming) and secondly because the weeds growing on the farm looked like the groundnut plant and they were growing amongst them.

My dad shared the portions everyone was to weed. After giving me mine and showing me what the groundnut looks like, I picked up my hoe and began weeding.

I had not weeded for up to five (5) minutes when I discovered I was left behind. My dad and the other men we came with were weeding like machines while I was weeding like a snail.
They soon discovered it too and began teasing me saying "All I knew was computer, phones and books".

I wasn't so happy with what they were saying so I decided to speed up my weeding pace. Before long I was uprooting the unwanted plants with the planted plants. I began to weed the weeds and the groundnuts together.

The teasings now shifted from "You're slow" to "You're damaging the groundnut". The latter teasing was worse. I paused and I heard this question within me "Do you choose speed over accuracy?"

Now this is the point...

In our walk with God many of us like me in the farm have seen some persons exhibiting various dimensions of results and we're forced to put pressure on the anointing.

We want to start our walk with God and express the same results men who have stayed with God for years are producing.
We want to give our lives to Christ now and begin to prophesy.

We want to do so much with God in very little time without regards for being accurate.
The problem with speedsters in the kingdom is that they do not pay attention to accuracy. Meanwhile, God desires accurate believers and not speedsters.

In your quest to accomplish tasks in the kingdom quickly, you may lose the accurate standpoint of you journey and rather than make progress you would only be on motion.

I was weeding very fast but I was not weeding accurately. I was weeding but I was uprooting the groundnut with the weeds. I was doing work while damaging the work.
You may be going fast in God without realising certain areas of your life that are suffering imbalance. It is expedient that you choose accuracy over speed.

Do not strive to manifest quickly. Rather strive to be accurate. An accurate man on level 1 is far better than a speedster at level 14.

When I resorted to accuracy instead of speed in the act of weeding, I was able to weed the weeds and save the groundnuts. Before long, my dad noticed I was lagging behind again. He came and showed me how I ought to be weeding.
Armed with the weeding technique I began to weed even faster than my dad and the others. My speed was noticeable such one of  the men screamed that I was faster than all of them.

When you choose accuracy over speed in your walk with God, God intervenes and teaches you the system of speed. In the kingdom, we don't strive for speed. God offers us speed only when we're accurate. Inaccurate individuals may enjoy speed for awhile but then the distance covered will be nothing compared to the damages they may have caused.

Accuracy is far better than speed. Don't just go fast, go accurately.
The synonym to accuracy is alignment. Always pant after being aligned to the will of God. In God's will is all you need.
Accuracy and Alignment over speed!

[Download] Minister O.T Gospel – End Of Myself MP3

The song "End Of Myself" is an attestation to the fact that depending on one's strength, wisdom, ability, intellect, techniques e.t.c is the bane of making a head way in life.

No man who chooses to act all by himself is capable of achieving anything.

This song reiterates submission and total YIELDEDNESS to the Spirit of God; a quality which every believer must possess.

For us to make something meaningful out of our lives we must surrender our will, our wisdom, our brains, our hearts and all we've got to God and come under the subjection of His divine and sovereign will!

End Of Myself is not just a song. It is an experience. It is a prayer. It is the anthem of believers.
It is a must download.

Join Minister O.T Gospel as we surrender all to the Spirit of God in view of the frailty of our self and our efforts.

The Missing Factor In Your Bible Study

One of the cardinal functions of a believer is the study of the Word of God, the Bible. Both new converts and matured believers are not excluded from the studying of the Bible.

Apostle Peter speaking to new converts said:

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: – 1 Peter 2:2

Apostle Paul to the Ephesians said:

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. – Acts 20:32

The need for the study of the Bible can never be overemphasized. Anyone who is serious about walking with God must not take Bible study casually. I learnt how important Bible study is when I noticed that my dad never misses his Bible study schedule. He applied diligence to his Bible study life. His fasting programs sees him do Bible study during the day and prayers at night.

In one of my articles, I wrote about how to activate the power of the word where I shared techniques to the effective study of God's word but recently I discovered that you may do all that I listed in that article and you may not be able to activate the power of the word. The missing factor in our Bible study is what I am going to share in this article.

Follow the progression of these Scriptures...

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light – Genesis 1:1-3

Before God spoke, the Spirit of God was already hovering over the earth. God's word is effective only in the premise of the operations of His Spirit.
It is the hovering Spirit of God that gave His word the expression it got.
I believe you already know what this missing factor is. The Holy Spirit is the missing factor in your Bible study.

Your Bible would be a novel to you except you study it from the perspective of the author. If you want to understand a book for what it truly is you must read the book from the author's perspective. The author of the Bible is God by the Holy Spirit through the faculty of "Holy Men".

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: – 2 Timothy 3:16

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. – 2 Peter 1:21

In order to understand the Scriptures and do effective Bible study you must study the Bible from the perspective of the author and to do this you must ask the Holy Spirit to help you.

Jesus was trying to give voice to this fact in John 6:63 when He said:

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The words He spoke where not an end in themselves. They were spiritual things and to decode them you must be Spirit-guided when you want to study.
Relying on your flesh: your intellects, your brains, your wisdom, your ideas, your philosophy, your brilliance and what have you to study the Bible would never make you understand the message of the Bible.

Who also hath made us able, ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. – 2 Corinthians 3:6

In the verse above, Apostle Paul reveals that you can study the Bible and instead of living you begin to die. This happens when you study the Bible without the help of the Holy Spirit.

Every Bible study technique you know would never help you achieve effective Bible study if you study the Bible without being led and guided by the Spirit of God.

Don't just jump into Bible study. Pray for the guidance and direction of God's Spirit. Stop relying on your wisdom to study God's word. Study from the perspective of the author, the Holy Spirit.
Pray for His guidance before you start your Bible study applying the study techniques you've learnt.

Want to get Bible study techniques? Send an email to and I will be glad to reach out and help you!

Open Heavens Daily Devotional – To Obey Is Better Than Sacrifice [15th July, 2019]

Topic: To Obey is better than Sacrifice
Memorise: “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” – 2 Corinthians 10:6
Read: 1 Samuel 15:17-22 (KJV)
17 And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?
18 And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
19 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?
20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.
22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Bible in One Year: Joshua 3-5, Ezekiel 17:7-21

Disobedience has the evil tag of being the first sin man committed. The deadly mystery of this sin is that disobedient people more often than not never accept blame for their act. They tend to give excuses and blame other people or “factors beyond their control”. This is what Adam did when God questioned him concerning his disobedience. Genesis 3:12 says:
“And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”
Unfortunately, his excuse did not clear him of responsibility, nor did it deter God from punishing him. Another person who gave excuse for disobedience is King Saul. In today’s Bible reading, when he was confronted with his sin, he tried to justify himself by using the good act of sacrifice as an excuse for his disobedience. In response to his attempt at justifying himself, God’s prophet told him in 1 Samuel 15:22:
“…Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”
Let us take a closer look at King Saul’s excuse for disobeying God. 1 Samuel 15:21 says:
“But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.”
Saul’s excuse was that it was not him, but the people who took the spoil. This makes one wonder who was leading who in the battle against the Amalekites. He was just trying to pass the buck. He felt he could appease God or His prophet, Samuel, by presenting a big offering in the form of sacrifice:
Beloved, in what areas are you disobeying God? You better repent today and cultivate the habit of living by the dictates of the infallible word of God. No amount of service you render to God can take the place of obeying His word. No amount of money given as seed offerings, tithes or donations can justify indulging in fraudulent practices at your place of work. May the Lord give you the grace to obey His commandments to the letter in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:

Father, please help me to obey you willingly and completely as a show of my gratitude to You for Your goodness and mercy over me.

Hymn: Trust and Obey

1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.
4 But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Rhapsody Of Realities Devotional – He Doesn't Take Away By Death [15th July, 2019]

Topic: He Doesn’t Take Away By Death
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (1 Corinthians 15:26).
In most religious circles, when funerals are being conducted, it’s common to hear the officiating minister say, “The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord.” But the Lord doesn’t “take away” by death. He’s the giver or author of life, and death isn’t from Him.
The Bible lets us know that death is an enemy, and refers to it as the last enemy that shall be destroyed. However, it’s already been defeated as the scriptures show us.
God never takes anybody away by death. The only people He took away from this world, He took them alive. Enoch, the Bible says, walked with God and suddenly, he was taken away from the earth by the Spirit of God—alive into heaven (Genesis 5:24). Elijah was also taken away alive (read 2 Kings 2:11).
What about Jesus? He too was taken away alive! And for those who believe in Him, they’re going to be taken away alive. Hallelujah! 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” This is how God “takes away”; it’s not by death. It’s called a translation.
Moreover, those whom God took away knew ahead of time. Enoch, the Bible says, before his translation, had the testimony that he pleased God. Elijah knew he was to be taken away and he discussed it with Elisha (2 Kings 2:9-11). The Lord Jesus was in a meeting with His disciples, after discussing with them, He levitated (Acts 1:9). He had told them He was going to leave that way.
For the rest of us, we’ll have the same witness in our spirits that our departure is very close, so much so, we’ll be talking about it. There’ll be an urgency in the spirit and we’ll preach the Gospel with greater fervency, compelling men to believe in Jesus Christ. While we’re at it, suddenly, the trumpet will sound, and we’ll all be taken out of this world. Glory to God!
PRAYERThank you, precious Father, for you have abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Thank you for granting me eternal life in Christ, by which I live eternally in your presence, and for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
